Newton Stewardship Committee Minutes
November 17th,2011

Town Hall Main Hall
The meeting was called to order at 8:05 by the Chair, Mike Seekamp. Attending were Nancy Slombo, Rick Fortin and Mary Marshall.
The minutes from June 2nd, 2011 were approved.
The annual report to LCHIP was completed with a site walk map. Mary will copy and mail to Concord.
Mary told the committee that the board of selectmen do want the Stewardship Committee to monitor the Foy Easement. Mike will contact Trisha McCarthy to obtain a copy of the easement, and to request that a follow-up conversation take place between the Town and Mr. Foy to determine his satisfaction with the tax benefits. The Stewardship Committee with attempt to establish boundaries between the Foy property and abutters.
The spring site walk at Hidden Acres will take place on Thursday, April 19th at 8:00AM to be followed by a brief meeting at the farm.
The slate of officers: Rick Fortin, Chair; Mike Seekamp, Vice Chair, Mary Marshall, Secretary was approved unanimously.
Rick will approach one of his neighbors in Quaker Grove to see if there is any interest in joining the Stewardship Committee.
The meeting was adjourned at 8:40 am.
